Rocky Mountain National Park
(Andrews Glacier Basin Area)

A small golden aspen grove.

A view from Fall River Road
on our way to the Mt. Chapin trailhead.

Calypso Cascades.

A ground squirrel dining on a big nut.

Standing atop Mt. Chapin, alt. 12,454'.
Not as dramatic of a hike as Longs, but interesting.
We hiked through rain, snow, wind and sunshine to get there and back.

Eating lunch on top of  Mt. Chapin
sitting in a wind break.
We were watching a storm as it was passing by.
It just missed us and covered Mt. Chiquita, the
mountain adjacent  to us.

Bonus Picture. Mama Rose's.
Our Official Carbo-Loading Restaurant.
We go here to load up the night before a big hike.
Good food, and plenty of it.
